Happy 4th of July!

Just popping in today to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July and share a patriotic card:
I used a few different svg files, my Cricut,  and stamps to make this card. All done in red, white, and blue, of course!
The background is embossed with a fireworks embossing folder.
I added a few red sequins.
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Shaker Card

Hello! I recently bought 2 Jillibean Soup Shaker stamp sets. They are so easy to use! I love them! They are also very reasonably priced...which is always a good thing!! Here's a gift tag I made:
I cut the tag on my Cricut, and cut the circle at 1.473" to fit the shaker element. I can't wait to make more cards using these sets! I also bought the mason jar die, but haven't used it yet...stay tuned!!

Graduation cards

Hello! It's that time of year (or maybe I'm a tad late!) for graduation celebrations! I made a couple of cards to share with you...

The first one is cut with a FREE (yes, free!!) file from lovesvg.  You could easily change the colors to make this card more feminine...I made this card for a young man, so I kept the colors as they were in the original file. I added a cloud embossed background, a few shiny stars and some blue 'speckles.'

The second card is also made from a free lovesvg file! You can find it here.  I love the way this card turned out, too! I used softer colors for a more feminine look and used a gingham embossing folder and gingham paper. Can you ever have too much gingham??? I think not!!!

I was trying to decide whether or not to add a flower for a little extra touch...in the end, I added a yellow stamped rose...but didn't get a photo of it before I gave the card.

Thanks for checking in! I hope these cards inspire you to make a special card for the graduate in your life! Have a great day!

Spring Snowstorm Card

Well, here it is April 15...and we have 13 inches of new snow on the ground! While I'd much rather have warm spring sunshine and spend time outdoors, I made the best of our snowy weekend by doing some crafting. I was able to crochet, make an iron-on t-shirt, and do some stamping.
I made a birthday card using Vintage Flowers by Altenew. Wow! I really like this set! I just bought it a week ago, so haven't used it much, but I'm in love with these flowers. It took a little practice to get the images lined up correctly, but if you have any stamping experience, you can do it. ; )
I hope you're having a creative weekend, too!
Thanks for checking in!

Random Projects...

Here are a few things I've been working on... my class snowflakes are packaged and
ready to go! Our last day of school is Dec. 21. I used the same pattern as last year.

I'm working on a few red hats for the Little Hats Big Hearts project. 2 friends from school
are also making hats. So far I have 6 hats finished. I like knowing they are going to
a good cause.

I am trying to make a few pairs of wrist warmers/fingerless gloves.
Not sure I'll get them done in time for Christmas. I need to make 3 sets!

I made this Christmas card using the stable image from Lori Whitlock. Very simple, but
sweet, I think! = ) The word "peace" is embossed with glittery embossing
powder.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

It's a Wonderful Life

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that It's a Wonderful Life is one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies! I couldn't believe it when I saw this stamp at Hobby Lobby!

I made my hubby a Christmas card using the "It's a Wonderful Life" stamp.
The red truck image was a freebie from Miss Kate's. (I'm so glad the
freebie of the day is back, aren't you??!!)

The background stamp is by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous...
I recently found a good deal on that one, too!
I stamped it, then added a few white embossed snowflakes.

I love the vintage look!
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Hello! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I had a little creative time over the weekend and made a couple of Christmas cards. Here is one of them:
My goal is to make a unique card for each member of my family. = ) My family is on the small side, so I'd say I'm well on the way, with this card and the ones I made a few weeks ago.  I used a Darcie embossing folder on the background of this one, the stamp is from Hobby Lobby, and the scallop circle was cut on my Cricut.  Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A Little Holiday Inspiration

I spent some time this weekend making  a couple
of Christmas cards....as well as watching a Christmas movie
or two on the Hallmark channel!!!

I made this card using the Pretty Pennants Cricut cartridge.
I've had this cartridge for a long time...but never used this
cut before and I don't know why, because I LOVE it!
I just added a simple sentiment...and the card
was done....very simple, but elegant! = )

Here's another easy card...I embossed the Santa using a Darcie embossing
folder, cut it out, and added it to another embossed background.

I made a few tags to go with a gift basket...all of the items
in the basket go with the theme "brown paper packages tied up with strings."
I can't say too much more about it...just in case my sister reads my
blog!!
Melissa Phillips has an awesome post about Buffalo Plaid...
I had this planned before I read her post, but she
has GORGEOUS projects to share. Be sure to check it out!

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Mason Jar Love

Hello! I have a little mason jar themed card to share...

I wanted to use Fall colors, but this would be pretty in any color!
The mason jar svg is from Lori Whitlock's Mason Jar Bundle.
There are so many cute images in this set...
I can't wait to try them all!
I though this would make a nice "thank you" card.
It's a little hard to see in the photo, but I also stamped
the background with Echo Park's Buffalo Plaid stamp.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!!

Tea cups...

Sometimes when I am looking at Pinterest,
I feel like I just have to make a card...
I'm so inspired by what I see, I want to recreate it.
Does that every happen to you??
I hope so.

The other day I was looking at cards with a coffee/tea/hot chocolate
theme. I fell in love with these stacked tea cups. (Of course, I
love that they are made from gingham paper!)

I cut these images using my Cricut. I haven't made them
into cards or anything yet, but they are just waiting to
be made into something adorable!
I cut the whipped cream on the red cup out of vellum.
Check back soon...I'll share what I make with these cuties!
Thanks for checking in!

Another Gran's Garden Card...

Hello! I just love the flowers in this stamp set!! I did a little
browsing of vintage linens today and was inspired to
create this card. = )
The sentiment is from Stampin Up! Chalk Talk.
I just used inks I had on hand to create the flowers.
The background shape is cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge.
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Vintage Christmas

I made a Christmas card today; used a few of my
favorite things...
doily
gingham background
vintage style stamp
The branches are from misskatecuttables "jingle all the way" file.
The doily die is from Prima. I used the precision base plate for
my Sizzix...it makes a perfect cut!
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

"Where your treasure lies..."

It has been a rainy day here.
Perfect for staying inside, crocheting and stamping.
I did both. = )
I was so excited to get Gran's Garden in the mail today!
It's actually my first PTI purchase, although I've been a fan of their
products for a long time. I bought the stamps, dies, and 2 inks.
The ink in the picture looks so dark (blaming it on the cloudy day),
but it's actually winter wisteria (light purple) and
royal velvet (dark purple).
(The Bible verse is an older stamp I bought from Clear Dollar Stamps
a long time ago....)

I cut the background shapes with my Cricut,  using the Elegant Edges
cartridge.
Thanks for checking in and I will share my newest
crochet project soon!
Have a great day!

Happiness is not a destination...

I love quotes. I use them on almost every scrapbook page I make.
I have quite a few stamps with good "life" quotes.
I thought this one was suitable for a graduation card:

I just love, love, love, the flowers from the Stampin Up! Jar of Love
stamp set. They give this card a nice feminine touch.

I added just a teeny bit of bling on one of the flowers.
I'm sure the recipient will love it! I also embossed the
"Happiness" quote with clear embossing powder. I haven't done that
for awhile...it gives the card a nice look, too.
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Lovely wreath card....

Hello! Happy Saturday! I enjoyed a little paper crafting time today and made this card....
I'm going to use it as an anniversary card.
The wreath was a freebie from misskatecuttables and is still available here.
(I'm not sure how long it will stay on the 'free stuff' page so
 download it now!) ; )
The flowers are from Stampin Up! Jar of Love set.
The library card is authentic...a real live library card! Our school
media specialist was getting rid of them at the end of the year,
so I snagged a bunch, knowing I could put them to good use!
The background paper is from Hobby Lobby; Ice Cream Parlor by The Paper Studio.
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Spring Birthday Card

Hello! I have a pretty birthday card to share with you!
I'm a big fan of Miss Kate Cuttables and do not miss checking out
the daily free svg file...ever....
These cute Easter flowers were a recent freebie. = )
(Even at regular price, the file is a great buy...only .50!)
If you haven't been to the website, and you own a Cricut,
you should definitely check it out.

Aren't they adorable??
I added some lilac gingham paper...
and this is the result!

I simplified the image a little, by not cutting all of the layers, but that's
the beauty of crafting...to make it your own! I ran the flowers though
my Big Shot with the "Swiss dots" embossing folder.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Perfect Blend Gift Card Holder

It's always nice to have a unique way to give someone a gift card, isn't it??? I made this little gift card envelope for giving a coffee gift card...yum...I am enjoying a nice cup of pumpkin spice coffee as I write this!

I used the Perfect Blend stamp set from Stampin Up! There are so many cute ideas out there for this set! I cut the envelope at 4"  on my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.
Here is the back of the envelope. I didn't take the time to make a cute closure, but  you sure could! I just added baker's twine, wrapped around and tied on the back. Simple. Thanks for checking in and have a pumpkin spice coffee kind of day!

Pumpkin Card

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted a card idea...I still love to do papercrafting....it just seems crocheting has been my creative obsession lately! This weekend I had some time to catch up on a few scrapbook pages, and since I had my supplies out, I made a card or two.  Here is a Halloween card I made using the Holiday Cakes Cricut cartridge.

I cut the pumpkins at 2". The circle is from Accent Essentials and cut at 3 3/4". I embossed it with a Cuttle bug folder. The Halloween ticket stamp is from the dollar spot at Michael's. Thanks for checking in and have a great day!
