Happy Last Day of School Shirt

Because teachers get excited for summer too....

I made this shirt using the FREE svg file from Pineapple Paper Co.
I have a Cricut and Cricut Heat Press, so this was
super easy...but when I started using heat transfer vinyl, I just used my iron and it worked great. Don't be intimated by it...it's super easy and you'll get compliments on shirts you make!!
I bought the shirt at Walmart on clearance for $3.00!
Because teachers live on a budget...

Enjoy!

The background is embossed with a fireworks embossing folder.
I added a few red sequins.

Shaker Card

Hello! I recently bought 2 Jillibean Soup Shaker stamp sets. They are so easy to use! I love them! They are also very reasonably priced...which is always a good thing!! Here's a gift tag I made:
I cut the tag on my Cricut, and cut the circle at 1.473" to fit the shaker element. I can't wait to make more cards using these sets! I also bought the mason jar die, but haven't used it yet...stay tuned!!

Graduation cards

Hello! It's that time of year (or maybe I'm a tad late!) for graduation celebrations! I made a couple of cards to share with you...

The first one is cut with a FREE (yes, free!!) file from lovesvg.  You could easily change the colors to make this card more feminine...I made this card for a young man, so I kept the colors as they were in the original file. I added a cloud embossed background, a few shiny stars and some blue 'speckles.'

The second card is also made from a free lovesvg file! You can find it here.  I love the way this card turned out, too! I used softer colors for a more feminine look and used a gingham embossing folder and gingham paper. Can you ever have too much gingham??? I think not!!!

I was trying to decide whether or not to add a flower for a little extra touch...in the end, I added a yellow stamped rose...but didn't get a photo of it before I gave the card.

Thanks for checking in! I hope these cards inspire you to make a special card for the graduate in your life! Have a great day!

It's almost Christmas...

Hello! Just about a week to go until Christmas! I finished quite a bit of last minute shopping this weekend. Here a couple of gift cards I packaged...
The tag gift card holder svg file is from Lori Whitlock.
Everything was cut on my Cricut.

I embossed this one with a coffee/latte embossing folder and added
a little snowflake.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Hello! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I had a little creative time over the weekend and made a couple of Christmas cards. Here is one of them:
My goal is to make a unique card for each member of my family. = ) My family is on the small side, so I'd say I'm well on the way, with this card and the ones I made a few weeks ago.  I used a Darcie embossing folder on the background of this one, the stamp is from Hobby Lobby, and the scallop circle was cut on my Cricut.  Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A Little Holiday Inspiration

I spent some time this weekend making  a couple
of Christmas cards....as well as watching a Christmas movie
or two on the Hallmark channel!!!

I made this card using the Pretty Pennants Cricut cartridge.
I've had this cartridge for a long time...but never used this
cut before and I don't know why, because I LOVE it!
I just added a simple sentiment...and the card
was done....very simple, but elegant! = )

Here's another easy card...I embossed the Santa using a Darcie embossing
folder, cut it out, and added it to another embossed background.

I made a few tags to go with a gift basket...all of the items
in the basket go with the theme "brown paper packages tied up with strings."
I can't say too much more about it...just in case my sister reads my
blog!!
Melissa Phillips has an awesome post about Buffalo Plaid...
I had this planned before I read her post, but she
has GORGEOUS projects to share. Be sure to check it out!

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A little luminary....

Hi! Just popping in tonight with a cute little Halloween luminary, made using the free images this week from Cricut: Monster Bash.
I cut the base of the luminary out of gray cardstock and the front out of purple, added a little battery operated tea light and called it finished! I'm thinking about embellishing it...but we'll see.  = )
I love that Cricut offers free images like this!
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Gran's Garden Gift Tag

Hello! Just popping in today with a
gift tag I made using Gran's Garden from Papertrey Ink.

I sent my sister a little gift in the mail, so I decided to
pretty up the package a bit.
I used a brown paper bag from The Paper  Studio (Hobby Lobby)
added the tag and some baker's twine.

I cut the heart from gingham paper, on my Cricut, using
the Doodlecharms cartridge.
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Christmas tags

Every Christmas, I find myself rushing to make cute gift
tags at the last minute. Every year I say to myself, "Why
don't I make these in summer, when I have time??"
Well, today I had a little time and decided to
make a few tags to use in December!

I decided to keep them simple...use red and white,
and only have a layer or two.
I started by cutting a bunch of tags, using my Cricut.
The tag shapes I used are from the Preserves cartridge.

I went through my Christmas stamps to find images.
Every time I look through my stamps to find something for a project,
I decide I never have to buy another stamp!! Can anyone else relate
to that?? I have so many nice images I either forget about or
just don't use! Ugh!

These are all images I've had for quite a while...

The sentiment on these tags is a little longer than the tag,
but that's ok. = ) They still look nice!
I love this stamp...it's from a set I bought at Michaels a few
years ago.
These tags were made with stamps that came with a magazine.
There are quite a few UK cardmaking magazines that come
with stamps or dies. I always check out what's new when
I'm at Barnes and Noble or JoAnn's!

With a little ribbon or bakers twine,
I think these tags will be time saver come December! Now, if
I could only do the same with my Christmas shopping!!

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Campin' Critters

Every Friday, Cricut offers an image set to use in Design Space
for free for a few days.
This week it's Campin' Critters.
I found quite a few images that will
be great to use in my boys' Scout scrapbooks.
Here are the images I cut:
There are so many great images to choose from, and a lot
of cute animals. I have quite a bit done in the Scout
books I'm working on, so I just picked a few things
to embellish pages I already have finished.
I've done that with other free sets that are offered, too.
If I have completed pages, I choose an image just
give  a page that  little something extra. = )
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Paper gift bag

Hello! I have a paper craft project to share with you today! I made a gift bag using
this svg file from Lori Whitlock and my Cricut. I love the way it turned out, using the gingham
paper!

I added a little tag, with a hot air ballon. I embossed the tag with the Darcie "Clouds" Embossing
folder. You can find the hot air balloon svg at Miss Kate Cuttables, here.
Thanks so much for checking in and have a great day!

Spring Birthday Card

Hello! I have a pretty birthday card to share with you!
I'm a big fan of Miss Kate Cuttables and do not miss checking out
the daily free svg file...ever....
These cute Easter flowers were a recent freebie. = )
(Even at regular price, the file is a great buy...only .50!)
If you haven't been to the website, and you own a Cricut,
you should definitely check it out.

Aren't they adorable??
I added some lilac gingham paper...
and this is the result!

I simplified the image a little, by not cutting all of the layers, but that's
the beauty of crafting...to make it your own! I ran the flowers though
my Big Shot with the "Swiss dots" embossing folder.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Perfect Blend Gift Card Holder

It's always nice to have a unique way to give someone a gift card, isn't it??? I made this little gift card envelope for giving a coffee gift card...yum...I am enjoying a nice cup of pumpkin spice coffee as I write this!

I used the Perfect Blend stamp set from Stampin Up! There are so many cute ideas out there for this set! I cut the envelope at 4"  on my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.
Here is the back of the envelope. I didn't take the time to make a cute closure, but  you sure could! I just added baker's twine, wrapped around and tied on the back. Simple. Thanks for checking in and have a pumpkin spice coffee kind of day!

Pumpkin Card

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted a card idea...I still love to do papercrafting....it just seems crocheting has been my creative obsession lately! This weekend I had some time to catch up on a few scrapbook pages, and since I had my supplies out, I made a card or two.  Here is a Halloween card I made using the Holiday Cakes Cricut cartridge.

I cut the pumpkins at 2". The circle is from Accent Essentials and cut at 3 3/4". I embossed it with a Cuttle bug folder. The Halloween ticket stamp is from the dollar spot at Michael's. Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Black and White Thank You Card

Hello!I made this thank you card using the Accent Essentials cricut cartridge. The black element is actually the negative image...I cut the flower for another project. I embossed it the "swirls" embossing folder by Quick Kutz.  The "thanks" die cut is from Mini Monograms.  I added a pink button and that's it....pretty quick and easy! Thanks for looking!

Birthday and Baby Cards

Hello! I have 2 cards to share with you today....finally! It seems more and more time passes between my creative sessions. We are having another snowy day today, so I thought I'd take some time to complete a couple of cards I needed to make.

This first one is a baby card for a co-worker who recently became a grandma. : ) I am going to give her a picture frame as a little gift. The stars are cut with the "George and Basic Shapes" cartridge at 3 1/2 inches. The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I had the button in my jar...not sure where I got it originally, but it looks cute. The sentiment is a sticker.

This next card is obviously for a birthday. : ) I embossed the background again with the "Happy Birthday" Cuttlebug embossing folder. The flower is cut from "George and Basic Shapes" at 1 1/4 inches, then embossed as well.

Thanks for looking and have a good day....I am hoping to devote one night a week to srapbooking or stamping...to keep my creativity flowing and post a little more on the blog. : )

Fourth of July Layout

Hello! Here is a Fourth of July layout I made today. I scraplifted the design from a page I saw on the Scrapbooks, etc. online gallery. I cut the word "happy" using the Tear Drop cricut cartridge. I stamped the word "fourth" with blue ink. All papers are from The Paper Studio. Thanks for looking and have a super day!

Scrapbook Layout "Do-over"

Hi! Today I am sharing a re-do of a layout I did a few years ago. We all have them, I'm sure...you look at a layout and just go 'ugh!' That's how I felt about this one. I don't have a 'before' pic; sorry about that...but believe me, you wouldn't be impressed!! I used the Graphically Speaking cartridge for the word "play" and the flourishes.

The family picture, including our lovely lab named Pearl, was taken on 7-7-07.

Thanks for looking and have a super day!
