Ornament Coaster

Here's a fun little coaster, perfect for a cup of cocoa or glass of eggnog! Tis the season with this ornament coaster pattern found here. I used cotton yarn and an H hook. I made it one round smaller than the original pattern. Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A little gift for doing dishes...

I've been working on a few dishcloths to give as little Christmas gifts...(this link is such a quick and easy pattern.)
When it comes to making dishcloths, I really like I Love This Cotton from Hobby Lobby....
It is very soft, easy to work with, and the skein is large enough for a couple of projects.

Here is how I am going to package these dishcloths for gifts....a cute stocking stuffer or 'thinking of you' idea...
I bought a small bottle of dish soap...probably around a dollar at Walmart. I folded the dishcloth and tied a ribbon to hold it onto the bottle.
I added a cute little tag and wrapped it in a cellophane bag.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A time for giving

I used this pattern to make this little yellow sweater. Our school is collecting baby items this December....they will be donated to those in need. Just sign up for the free ebook on the link to receive the pattern. Thanks for checking in!

Snowman soup coaster...

A cute little coaster to go with a snowman soup gift...
I made a flat circle with white cotton yarn, then added the snowman details with embroidery floss.
Who wouldn't love a cup cocoa....or chai...with this guy?

A new little scarf...

I made this little scarf using size 3 thread...love how it turned out. I tried to take pics, but it's hard to get a good photo...
Here it is, paired with a pretty brooch... I debated about leaving it open or turning it into an infinity scarf, but decided just to leave it open. That way it can be worn as a traditional scarf, or looped around and closed with a pretty accessory.  Here are a few more pics...

It was pretty quick and easy to make. I just did 6 dc for the center piece, then added the edging using this chart.  If you wanted a wider scarf, you could just make the center strip using more dc. I made it long enough to wrap around twice.  Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Then, follow the diagram to join them in order from 1 to 7.
