Cricut Inspiration

Hello! I am inspired by all of the cool projects posted on Cricut blogs...like My Pink Stamper and Everyday Cricut (just to name a couple). I thought I'd post a scrapbook page I did last summer using the Graphically Speaking cartridge (since I haven't had time to work on anything new this week!) I am happy with this layout. I've tried to do my sons "favorite" pages since they were little. I had him write his favorites and I used the zig zag stamp from Hero Arts instead of trying to use my sewing machine.

Spring is in the air!

Such a beautiful spring weekend we are having...makes me anxious for summer and planting flowers. I was inspired my Mish's post today about her red bike and garden display. I found this photo I took last summer. I planted impatiens in my son's old rain boots...love it! Happy Sunday!

6 x 6 Album

Hello! I thought I'd share the first two pages of a 6 x 6 album I am working on. The album focuses on our family. It is definitely a work in progress. I have just a few photos picked out so far. I am using the "Laundry line" paper from My Mind's Eye. This page features our two boys, then and now. I can only look at those two happy faces and feel blessed! I used the Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge to cut the "time" embellishment. Stamps are from Studio G.


The next page, which is really first page of the album, is a family photo, along with the word "memories" (cut from Graphically Speaking as well). I cut the scalloped square from Mini Monograms. The Bible verse stamp is from Clear Dollar Stamps. Those are the only two pages I have completed so far...hope to get more done soon. Thanks for looking.

My Pink Stamper Color Challenge

Here is my card for the color challenge at My Pink Stamper. The challenge is to use pink, green, and black, along with any Cricut die cut. I used Doodlecharms to cut the stars at 1 1/2 inches, then cut the shadow out of black. I embossed the black background with the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I sanded ( I just use an emery board for this!) the background to emphasize the words a bit. It almost looks like a chalkboard when it's finished. I like the look. It may be a little hard to see in the photo, but I added a strip of pink glitter behind the stars.
Paper dimensions: Black: 3 3/4 x 5 1/4
Pink: 4 x 3 3/4
Stars: Cut at 1 1/2 inches

Purse card...oh so cute idea!!

I LOVE this card! It is such a cute idea....but not my original idea. My sister saw a card like this in a craft store, bought it and showed it to me. I just HAD to make one!! I have searched for similar ideas online, but didn't see it. So, if you happen to know who came up with this idea, let me know. I'd like to give credit where credit is due. But for now, this is my version of the card. It's an A2 size card. The hearts are cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge at 1 1/2 inches. I embossed the white background with the floral cuttlebug embossing folder. Scalloped edge is done with a Fiskars punch; scalloped circle is cut from Mini Monograms cartridge. The sentiment says 'it's my party' and is a studio G stamp.

Vintage Music Card

My card today features vintage music paper. The scalloped border is cut with the Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge. Heart is cut with a sizzix die. I sponged the edges of the music paper with brown ink to give a more vintage look. On the inside I stamped "You make my heart sing" with small alphabet stamps.

Valentine cocoa slider

Hello! Here is a picture of a hot cocoa slider. If you pull on the bow at the top, a package of hot chocolate slides out of the pocket. I saw this idea posted on The Pink Stamper under the December posts and adapted the idea for Valentine's Day. ( There are so many inspiring projects on the Pink Stamper site--especially if you own a Cricut!) I used paper I had; cut the scalloped heart and inside heart using the Doodlecharms cartridge; white paper is punched with a scalloped edge punch from EK Success.

I also have a few pics of a scrapbook page I did. Pretty simple--just a few photos, stickers, and stamps. I stamped the edges of the pink paper with a Studio G stamp. I like the subtle look of the pink rub on that says "adore." : )
