Baby donation...

We had our annual service project this year at school, in which we collect items for babies and donate them. I made a bath mitt and a wash cloth, paired them up with some baby wash and a rubber duck.
I used "I Love this Cotton" from Hobby Lobby, so the wash cloth and bath mitt are super soft.
I couldn't find a yellow rubber duck...but this purple one added a little color! And hopefully it will  bring joy to a little baby's bath!
You can find the wash cloth pattern here.
And the bath mitt here. (I made mine to fit my hand.)
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A little Christmas crafting....

Here are a few things I've been working on....
...a little paper crafting, crochet, and decorating for Christmas.  The top left picture is a granny ripple stitch lap blanket I'm currently working on, in red and white. It's an easy pattern and I love the red and white together.  I wanted to try crocheting a Christmas stocking, just for fun! I "upgraded" to a new Cricut Explore, so the tag was one of my first projects using digital files. Love it...
Enjoy!
Hope you can find some time to feed your creative soul today!

I just finished this pretty, large doily...
I think this is the largest doily I've made...
I love it!

Thanks...quick and easy!

Looking for a quick and easy card that still looks handmade??? How about this beauty?
I recently bought this Darcie embossing folder from
Consumer Crafts. I made this card the day
after I got it! Wow! I love it! (I used card stock from
Hobby Lobby that is similar to core'dinations...white
on the back.) I added a decorative paper fastener and
called it done! What could be easier???
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Vintage gift bag

Hi! I'm sharing a little vintage gift bag idea today....
I started with an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper and folded it, so the "seam" was in the back; then sealed the bottom.
I embellished the front with a page from a Workbasket magazine, added a paper doily
for closure and stamped the front.
Here it is from the back:
And a closer view of the stamp:
This kind of 'bag' worked well since the item is flat.
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!
I'll be back soon to share a few crochet dishcloths
I've been working on!

Make a chair look pretty!

I decided to crochet a little chair "pad" today.
I used gray t-shirt yarn that I bought on clearance last summer,
with a size N hook.
I like the way it looks...the perfect touch to a vintage wooden chair.
I browsed through my crochet patterns until I found
something I thought might work. This is a small doily motif, made
with 8 rounds of crochet. You can find the pattern here.
(It's the pattern on the top. :)
Have a great day!
