Granny Square

I made this little granny square...."purse" I guess you could call it...
Its great for holding small things, inside my big purse...

I used cotton yarn, sewed three sides together and added a button.
This is what it looks like from the back.
Have a great, crochet-kind of day! = )

Doily Blanket

I've wanted to make a large, doily throw/blanket for a while...
I tried several different doily patterns before finding
this one....
I was looking for a doily that had at least 35-40 rounds to it.
The first pattern I tried had 30, which was too small (that size would make a good baby
blanket, though.)
This one is large enough to cozy up on the couch with a good book.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Crochet is cheaper than therapy...

Whatever your crafting passion may be, it is said to be cheaper than therapy. I totally believe it.
Those of you with a passion for crochet know this.
We pick up the hook in times of stress, when we
want to relax, forget about work or problems of
the world....
...or just because we want to create something beautiful...
...make a corner cozy.
I'm a fan of red gingham.
I used this chart to make the red and white throw.
It was my December project.
Enjoy come crocheting today!

Baby donation...

We had our annual service project this year at school, in which we collect items for babies and donate them. I made a bath mitt and a wash cloth, paired them up with some baby wash and a rubber duck.
I used "I Love this Cotton" from Hobby Lobby, so the wash cloth and bath mitt are super soft.
I couldn't find a yellow rubber duck...but this purple one added a little color! And hopefully it will  bring joy to a little baby's bath!
You can find the wash cloth pattern here.
And the bath mitt here. (I made mine to fit my hand.)
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

A little Christmas crafting....

Here are a few things I've been working on....
...a little paper crafting, crochet, and decorating for Christmas.  The top left picture is a granny ripple stitch lap blanket I'm currently working on, in red and white. It's an easy pattern and I love the red and white together.  I wanted to try crocheting a Christmas stocking, just for fun! I "upgraded" to a new Cricut Explore, so the tag was one of my first projects using digital files. Love it...
Enjoy!
Hope you can find some time to feed your creative soul today!
