Gift idea...

Like most crafters (I hope, anyway!) I decided rather late...as in a week before Christmas...to make pretty wrist warmers/fingerless gloves as gifts.  I made myself a pair and have gotten several compliments on them. I decided to make them for the women in my family, plus a co-worker.
Let me say, I absolutely LOVE this pattern! You can find it here. They are very quick and easy to make...and everyone who gets them will be impressed by your handiwork!! I printed the handmade tags here, and put them in a little cellophane bag.
I have to admit..the pair I gave to my co-worker was very last minute...I ended up finishing the pair for her on the last day of school before Christmas break, while my class went to p.e.!! Hey...that's how it goes, right???
Thanks for checking in and stay warm!!

A blanket stack...

Most crocheters will get this...the beauty of handmade blanket stack. I love the Instagram images of beautiful, crocheted blankets. So today I finished my third crocheted blanket...the perfect way to spend a below zero day in MN...

3 blankets:  officially enough to make a "stack" (in my opinion, anyway!).

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Cricut Easy Press Pillow!

Hello! I am finishing a few last minute Christmas gifts.
How about you?? I like to think I'm not the only
crafter who decides to make things only a few days before Christmas!
I really wanted to make a heat transfer vinyl pillow
as a gift, but was a little reluctant, as I have only
done a couple of shirts and didn't want to give a gift, if
the vinyl may eventually wear off. But then my sweet
hubby gave me an early Christmas present...the Cricut Easy Press!
Yes! I felt better about making gifts with it, because I was sure
the vinyl would be better adhered with the press vs. my iron.

I decided to sew the pillow cover, too, but you could easily buy
a pre-made pillow cover and just iron on the design. I bought this
pretty gray checked fabric, and chose this quote...it suits the
person I'm giving this to! (I added the quote before sewing.)

My first time using the heat press was super easy and the results
were great! I watched a few demo videos and followed the
directions included...
here's my finished pillow:

I downloaded the svg file from loveSVG here.
They have so many fun and free files!!!!!

Thanks for checking in and good luck with any last minute Christmas projects!!

It's almost Christmas...

Hello! Just about a week to go until Christmas! I finished quite a bit of last minute shopping this weekend. Here a couple of gift cards I packaged...
The tag gift card holder svg file is from Lori Whitlock.
Everything was cut on my Cricut.

I embossed this one with a coffee/latte embossing folder and added
a little snowflake.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

Random Projects...

Here are a few things I've been working on... my class snowflakes are packaged and
ready to go! Our last day of school is Dec. 21. I used the same pattern as last year.

I'm working on a few red hats for the Little Hats Big Hearts project. 2 friends from school
are also making hats. So far I have 6 hats finished. I like knowing they are going to
a good cause.

I am trying to make a few pairs of wrist warmers/fingerless gloves.
Not sure I'll get them done in time for Christmas. I need to make 3 sets!

I made this Christmas card using the stable image from Lori Whitlock. Very simple, but
sweet, I think! = ) The word "peace" is embossed with glittery embossing
powder.

Thanks for checking in and have a great day!

It's a Wonderful Life

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that It's a Wonderful Life is one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies! I couldn't believe it when I saw this stamp at Hobby Lobby!

I made my hubby a Christmas card using the "It's a Wonderful Life" stamp.
The red truck image was a freebie from Miss Kate's. (I'm so glad the
freebie of the day is back, aren't you??!!)

The background stamp is by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous...
I recently found a good deal on that one, too!
I stamped it, then added a few white embossed snowflakes.

I love the vintage look!
Thanks for checking in and have a great day!
